Becker Glynn is pleased to announce that Patrick J. O’Brien will become its new managing partner, effective January 1, 2026.  Mr. O’Brien succeeds Robert C. Muffly, who served as the firm’s managing partner from March 1989 through December 2025. 

A Becker Glynn team led by partners Robert Muffly and Eric Kuhn and associates Christian Prencipe and Paula Eppinghaus, advised our client, the Hochschild family, on the signing of an agreement to sell its 50.01% controlling stake in Cementos Pacasmayo SAA (NYSE: CPAC; BVL: CPACASC1), a leading Peruvian producer of cement and construction materials, to Swiss cement group Holcim for approximately US$1.5 billion.

We congratulate our client, Marchesi Antinori, on its acquisition of Napa Valley’s iconic Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, owned by private equity firm Sycamore Partners. Marchesi Antinori acquired Stag’s Leap and other wine-related real estate assets through its U.S. subsidiary, Antinori California, which also owns the Antinori Napa Valley estate.

Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights partner Alec P. Ostrow recently moderated two panels at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s New York City Conference on the subject of recent confirmation issues.  The panels discussed such issues as restructuring support agreements, make-whole payments to lenders, allocation of collateral appreciation, reinstatement of debt, cramdown interest rates, and equitable mootness of confirmation orders.
