Sardi Garcia, Andres A.
Andres A. Sardi Garcia joined the firm in 2015 in the Corporate and International practice groups. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, project finance, secured and unsecured commercial lending, investment funds, and general corporate advisory matters. Mr. Sardi has significant experience working with multilateral and bilateral development finance institutions on a variety of debt and equity transactions, the majority of which have been in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Sardi also has experience representing non-U.S. companies and individuals in their investments and other activities in the U.S. and other international markets. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sardi practiced in Caracas, Venezuela for nearly three years handling a wide range of litigation and corporate matters for domestic and foreign clients.
NOTABLE REPRESENTATIONS
Represented three development finance institutions in connection with a US$110 million term loan facility to refinance the development of a solar power project in the Dominican Republic.
Represented two development finance institutions in connection with a US$75 million term loan facility to a Chilean solar power joint venture for the financing of a portfolio of Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida (PMGD).
Represented a multilateral finance institution in connection with a R$1.6 billion green/sustainability-linked loan to a major Brazilian water supply company to finance the enhancement of its water and sanitation infrastructure along the Tietê River.
Represented a multilateral finance institution in connection with a US$67 million partial credit guarantee to finance the building of the world’s largest electric ferry (e-ferry) connecting the ports of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.
Represented a multilateral development finance institution in connection with an up to US$450 million credit facility to a major Argentinian private telecommunications company for the financing of its capital expenditures.
Represented two multilateral development finance institutions in connection with a US$410 million secured financing for the expansion of soybean crushing facilities and port loading capacity of Renova S.A., an Argentine agribusiness. The transaction was selected as the Natural Resources Finance Deal of the Year for 2017 by Bonds and Loans Latin America.
Represented two multilateral development finance institutions in connection with a US$100 million secured financing for the expansion plan of San Miguel, an Argentine citrus grower (the largest citrus exporter in the Southern Hemisphere) for the production of lemons, oranges, mandarin oranges, table grapes and avocados in Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and South Africa.
Represented a U.S. private equity fund raising capital to invest in search funds and portfolio companies located in U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Europe.
Represented Latin American investors in an equity and convertible debt financing to expand the operations of a U.S. start-up providing full-service flexible warehousing, storage, and office space to businesses and individuals, with multiple locations.
Represented a gig economy tech start-up in connection with its Series A financing round and first institutional investment.
