PATRICK J. O'BRIEN is a partner of Becker, Glynn, Melamed & Muffly LLP and a member of the corporate, international, and finance practice groups. Mr. O’Brien’s experience includes a wide variety of project finance and corporate finance transactions, merger and acquisitions, and general corporate and commercial matters for both domestic and international clients. In particular, Mr. O’Brien has extensive experience advising multilateral and unilateral development finance institutions in their lending and equity investment activities in emerging markets.

Prior to joining the firm in 2003, Mr. O’Brien served as counsel and managed product development for an internet financial services company and practiced at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York as a corporate associate.

Education

Mr. O'Brien received his B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University in 1991 and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1997. While at Columbia, Mr. O'Brien was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and a student editor of the moot court program.

Mr. O'Brien is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
