KARIN P.E. GUSTAFSON is an associate of Becker, Glynn, Melamed & Muffly LLP and a member of the firm's corporate, estate planning and litigation practice groups. She has handled estate planning projects both for domestic and foreign clients. In addition to drafting wills and planning traditional estates, she has experience in setting up a variety of U.S. trusts as well as off-shore trusts and foundations. Her experience also includes estate administration. Many of her clients are individuals, some of whom are not familiar with the U.S. legal system. For this reason, she has worked to develop a special expertise in translating legal concepts and IRS rules into plain English.

Education

Ms. Gustafson joined the firm in 1990. She graduated from Yale University, magna cum laude, in 1976, and received her J.D. from the Yale Law School in 1984.

Ms. Gustafson is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
